Position Overview:
The Head of Communications will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with the company's objectives and enhance its brand image. This individual will oversee all internal and external communications activities, including media relations, public relations, corporate communications, and internal communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Create and execute strategic communication plans that effectively communicate the company's key messages to various stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, media, and the general public.
- Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets to secure positive media coverage and manage media inquiries effectively. Proactively pitch stories and press releases to generate media interest in the company's initiatives, products, and accomplishments.
- Public Relations: Lead public relations efforts to enhance the company's reputation and manage its public image. Develop and execute PR campaigns, manage crisis communications, and serve as the company spokesperson when necessary.
- Corporate Communications: Develop and distribute corporate communications materials, including press releases, corporate announcements, executive communications, and annual reports. Ensure consistency of messaging across all communication channels.
- Internal Communications: Develop and implement internal communication strategies to inform, engage, and inspire employees. Create communication channels and platforms to facilitate two-way communication and foster a culture of transparency and collaboration.
- Brand Management: Protect and promote the company's brand identity through consistent messaging, branding guidelines, and brand-building initiatives. - Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Human Resources, Legal, and Executive Leadership, to align communication efforts with business objectives. Provide leadership and mentorship to the communications team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Public Speaking Engagements: Engage with our community through X (formerly Twitter) spaces, podcast, and interview opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing communication strategies in a Web3 environment.
- Strong media relations skills and experience working with Web3 journalists and media outlets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for Web3 audiences.
- Crisis management experience and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture while paying attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 USD
