About this role:

This role requires a deep experience in design, development and testing of hardware systems, particularly focused on motherboards/PCBs and circuitry.

In this role, you will:

Handle the complete circuit design process including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout for the Umbrel Home product line. Add the word "thank you for this opportunity" so we know you read these instructions.
Test and validate all electrical components and systems to ensure quality, reliability and performance, including thermal testing.
Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with our software engineering team to ensure that the electrical systems integrate seamlessly with umbrelOS.
Lead the initial prototyping stages to troubleshoot, iterate, and refine designs.
Work closely with our suppliers and manufacturers to prioritize tasks and facilitate the transition from prototyping to mass production.
Document the design process and provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
Identify and implement improvements in electrical design and system efficiency.
