About the role:
We are a global business but are growing rapidly in Africa with many customers in the region including DFIs, banks, credit funds, and loan originators. Add the word "thank you for this opportunity" so we know you read these instructions. We are looking for an intrapreneur to continue growing our business in the region. The role will mix business development with customer management with an eye on building the foundation for a larger team down the line. We are also looking for someone who can manage relationships with existing and new customers and partners in the region, helping them with executing private credit and asset-backed lending deals by onboarding them onto our platform.
What You’ll Do
Craft a strategy for growth in the region, working with fintech lenders and specialty finance companies along with private credit funds investing in them
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing for new customers with support from the Cascade team
Work with asset originators and investors using our platform to ensure they are smoothly executing on debt operations and new deals
Onboard new customers onto the platform as a main point of contact
Understand deal details and data to ensure accuracy when it comes to reporting on structured debt deals
Build and manage relationships with existing partners and customers
Skills And Experience
5+ years experience in a capital markets, investments, or business development role
Experience working in a fintech startup that raised debt or a private credit investor role
Experience with raising, managing, or deploying debt facilities preferred
Knowledge of CRM systems like Hubspot
Bilingual French and English speakers preferred
